Second Floor Of Waring Historical Library.
The Waring Historical Library is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Library is located at 175 Ashley Avenue on the campus of MUSC.
The Waring Historical Library staff is pleased to assists researchers by e-mail, telephone, in writing or in person in locating materials specific to their interests relating to various aspects of the history of medicine, including the Medical University of South Carolina, South Carolina medicine, southern military medicine, and medicine in the southern region. While we offer researchers a variety of reference services, we cannot undertake extensive research of any sort, including genealogical or historical. You may want to consider hiring a professional researcher for more extensive and in-depth research.
Appointments are recommended, but not necessary. Staff can provide more efficient service with prior notification of interests and needs.
Collections do not circulate; all materials must be used at the Waring Historical Library.
