About
MEDICA@MUSC, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)'s Institutional Repository, was developed to collect, maintain, and provide free and open access to the current research and scholarly and creative works produced by the MUSC enterprise and its faculty, staff, and students. MEDICA@MUSC improves the visibility of MUSC's scholarship and research, facilitates institutional advancement by building a comprehensive collection of the institution's research output, and assists in returning the fruits of that research to the local community.

Institutional Repository Collections
MEDICA@MUSC provides access to the creative and scholarly output of MUSC. Current collections include manuscripts, peer-reviewed articles, pre-prints, book chapters, poster presentations, dissertations/theses, and departmental newsletters. If you are interested in contributing formats that do not fit into the current collections, such as, audio/video recordings, photographs, classroom resources, datasets, gray literature, etc. contact medica@musc.edu for more information. If it is not currently in a digital format, we may be able to digitize it for inclusion.

MUSC Faculty Bookshelf
The MUSC Faculty Bookshelf is a collection of published books and book chapters edited, authored, and co-authored by the faculty of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). This collection covers a range of topics and reflects the extensive research and scholarly output of MUSC faculty.
MUSC Faculty Journal Articles
Collection of published research articles authored and co-authored by MUSC faculty. Articles cover a range of topics and were originally published from 1974 to 2008 in The Journal of Neuroscience, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, BMC Bioinformatics, The Journal of Infectious Diseases, the International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology, and The Journal of Experimental Medicine.
MUSC Occupational Therapy Doctoral Capstones
Collection of published research articles authored and co-authored by MUSC faculty. Articles cover a range of topics and were originally published from 1974 to 2008 in The Journal of Neuroscience, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, BMC Bioinformatics, The Journal of Infectious Diseases, the International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology, and The Journal of Experimental Medicine.
MUSC Pharmacy & Therapeutics Update
Pharmacy & Therapeutics is an organ of the MUSC Medical Center Department of Pharmacy Services. The collection includes newsletters from January 2006 to February 2010.
MUSC Poster Presentations
The MUSC Poster Presentations collection includes posters created by MUSC faculty and staff. The posters are generally created for presentation at conferences and other forums.
MUSC Public Health Working Papers
The Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS) faculty collaborates extensively with other Departments, Colleges, Programs, Units, Projects and individuals across the MUSC Campus, South Carolina, the United States and abroad. Our investigators work side by side with scientists and medical professionals to design studies, manage data, conduct data analysis and maximize data usage for informed conclusions.
MUSC Theses and Dissertations
Features MUSC student dissertations and theses from 2018 to the present. New submissions are added regularly throughout the year.
1952-2017 dissertations and theses: full access temporarily disabled. They will be added to the MEDICA@MUSC Digital Commons site periodically.
NNLM Region 2 RML Collections
The Medical University of South Carolina Libraries serves as the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) Regional Medical Library (RML) for Region 2, which provides programs, services, and dedicated support for NNLM Members in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Features presentations and newsletters produced by the NNLM Region 2.
